MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA, February 19, 2025 – Heraeus Medevio, a full-service contract design, development, and manufacturing partner to medical device companies around the world, announced a strategic partnership with CorTec GmbH, a leader in innovative implantable technologies based in Freiburg, Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany, on February 19, 2025.
This collaboration addresses the neuromodulation market's growing demand for innovative, high-quality implantable components. It will enable both Medevio and CorTec’s customers to bring better medical devices to market faster by combining CorTec's expertise in the development, rapid prototyping, and small series production of nerve cuff and paddle electrodes, capable of sensing and stimulation – exclusively produced with Heraeus Medevio's advanced capabilities in scaling and design for manufacturing.
Together, the companies will deliver next-generation neuromodulation devices and drive global innovation as strategic partners, with a shared commitment to world-class quality and continuous improvement.

Heraeus Medevio's high-volume manufacturing of the cuff and paddle electrodes for the neuromodulation sector, based on CorTec's proprietary laser-micromachining technology, is expected to begin by the end of 2025.
